Before you start ordering your pizza favorites, though, you should know how the traditional pizza differs from the gourmet pizza.

The Traditional Pizza

The founder of Bubba Pizza opened the store in the year 2000 with the traditional pizza on sale. The customers liked the traditional pizza, especially the ones prepared from Italian and Neapolitan recipes. This was clearly seen in all Bubba branches like Pizza Langwarrin.

The traditional pizza is made of the same ingredients that the first makers of pizza used– sausages, ground pork, ground beef, chicken bits, cooked ham, mushroom, anchovies, artichoke, onions, peppers, pepperoni, pineapple, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, garlic, salt, lard, and basil. Those toppings are placed on a flatbread or crust and are cooked in an oven. At Pizza Langwarrin, these are made in a mass production style, combined with traditional techniques.

The Gourmet Pizza

Bubba Pizza went gourmet in 2004, with the advent of gourmet food recipes and the demand for more gourmet food preparations. Bubba Pizza had to keep up with the new trends in Australian cuisine. The customers have become fascinated with haute cuisine and began looking for refined and elaborate preparations of food, including the pizza. As such, Bubba Pizza Langwarrin did not allow itself to be left behind with its traditional products.

Gourmet pizza has an added variety of ingredients that are not usually found in the traditional pizza. They include the falafel, hummus, peri mayo, Cajun chicken, tandoori preparations, satay food, smoked salmon, a little caviar, lobster, lamb, yogurt, feta cheese, pumpkin, cashew nuts, sour cream, zucchinis, pesto mayonnaise, prawns, scallops, and special herbs.

The gourmet crust is the same as the traditional one.  It may be thin and hand-tossed or as thick as a deep serving dish. It is usually seasoned with salt, garlic, or cheese. Sugar may be added to help the yeast rise and to make the crust brown. Here at Pizza Langwarrin, we use the same old tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese unless otherwise specified by the customer or unless it is changed in the recipe. Whatever type of pizza you want, you can order it at Bubba Pizza Langwarrin.
